Electricity production began at OL3
At the beginning of the year, a major milestone was reached when Olkiluoto 3 started pre-operational testing.
Närpes wind farm completed
The last turbine of the Norrskogen wind farm in Närpes was erected in the autumn.
Preparations for the first solar power plant started
EPV established the company EPV Solar Power Ltd and started preparatory work for its first solar farm in Lapua.
Major business acquisitions
EPV acquired Vaskiluodon Voima’s business operations as well as the district heat production capacity of Seinäjoen Energia.
Large network extension
A major industrial electricity transmission project was completed at the Sellee substation.
Clean heat
Seinäjoki electric boiler and district heating battery were completed in early autumn on the site of the Seinäjoki power plant.
